Boys Golf

Coaching Staff

Meet Michael Zupan, your head boys golf coach at Lincoln! Drop him a line to introduce yourself: MichaelZupan@gmail.com

Michael played on the Lincoln golf team from 2008 to 2011 and had a 3rd place finish at the State tournament in 2010. Today he works as a Project Manager for JLL helping deliver commercial development projects in the downtown Portland area. In his free time, Michael enjoys backpacking, biking, and golfing with friends and family.

Personal note: I'm really excited for the opportunity to coach golf at my alma mater. My focus is to create a fun yet competitive environment that helps promote growth for the individual, team, and the game of golf. Current players - consider yourself lucky. I cannot tell you how many of my friends come up to me and say, "I wish I had played golf in high school." The effort you put into development now will pay dividends later. Excited for this season!

Assistant Coach Grant Guernsey

Grant grew up in Vancouver, WA and began playing the sport at Royal Oaks Country Club from the day he could walk. He lettered all four years on the golf team for the Columbia River Chieftains from 2009-2013 and during his senior year, Grant was named captain of the team, and was given first team all-league for the GSHL. Grant’s family has a long history in the PNW golf community, with his mother, Sheila, working 20+ years in the PGA/Korn Ferry hospitality side of the sport, and his father, Gregg, being a prominent amateur tournament player.

Since graduating from Oregon State University in 2017, Grant works as a commercial real estate broker at Kidder Mathews and enjoys playing golf whenever he gets the chance. Outside of golf and his job, Grant enjoys working out, cycling and playing music.
