Heather Seely-Roberts has been coaching basketball for almost 30 years where she has accumulated over 350 wins as a varsity coach.  

Coach Seely-Roberts was raised in Corvallis (Go Beavers) where she graduated from Crescent Valley and started her coaching career while she attended Oregon State.  She graduated from Oregon State with a master's in Home Economics Education and began teaching at David Douglas (Portland) where she was the freshman girls coach.  

After a year she got her first Varsity Head coaching job at Ashland High School.  In her five years at Ashland, the team reached the state playoffs every year with 3 state tourney berths - first in school history.  Coach Seely Roberts spent the next 5 years at Lakeridge HS (Lake Oswego, OR) where her teams placed 2nd, 3rd, and 4th at state and coached three-time player of the year Jillian Harmon.  She spent 6 years at Canby where her teams went to state playoffs every year and finished her high school girls coaching career at Sprague (Salem).  

Coach Seely-Roberts moved to the east coast and began a 4-year career at Southern Virginia University, a Division III school from 2014-18, leading the team in their beginning years of Division III athletics.  While the Seely-Roberts were in Virginia her youngest two boys - Moroni and Malachi - developed a passion for basketball so Coach Seely-Roberts decided to switch to the boy's side. 

The family returned to Oregon where Coach Seely-Roberts becomes the first woman to coach boys basketball in 80 years at Yamhill Carlton High School in 2018.  The team went 4 - 21 her first year, 16-11 her second year reaching state playoffs.  When Oregon shut down basketball for the regular season the family moved to Moab Utah where Coach Seely-Roberts coached the Grand County High School boys varsity team to a 22 - 5 record and 5th place at state with her two sons gaining all-state honors.  They returned to Oregon where Coach Seely-Roberts coached the Yamhill Carlton Tigers to a state title in 2021.  A great finish for the team who had built the program from the ground up.   Moroni was the 3A state player of the year and Malachi was 1st team all-state.  

Coach Roberts will be the varsity boys coach at Lincoln High School and her two boys will be part of the team.  Coach is married to Jason Roberts and has five children - Manti, Mosiah, Micah, Moroni, and Malachi along with a cat and 16 chickens.
